Pulte's failures


Even a small child understands that when something is cracked and broken that it can't be fixed.

Pulte Homes wants its customers to believe what children know isn't true. Pulte wants its customers to believe that cracked and broken concrete foundations, slabs, and walls (and resulting cracks in floor and wall finishes, eg, ceramic tiles) are "normal".

Your concerns are well founded. Pulte has a record of building houses with serious defects--foundations that crack and settle, roof trusses that are not properly attached, stucco that is mixed and applied improperly, roofs that leak, etc. This happens when houses are built by subcontractors without the prime contractor's (Pulte's) oversight and quality control. Since 2006 I've been trying to tell the truth about Pulte Homes. This blog does it. You don't have to go beyond the cover page to see that Pulte Homes is a dishonest, reckless and arrogant company that builds shoddy houses and that treats its customers poorly.

Others have tried to tell the truth about Pulte Homes--other websites and those who report the news. But, we have been largely "drowned out" by Pulte Homes' advertising and those who support Pulte Homes (realtors, stockbrokers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, politicians, JD Power, etc.) Twitter, the supposed bastion of free speech, routinely deletes my tweets. all in the name of the almighty dollar.

It's time for ALL those who have been gypped by Pulte Homes to step up and tell your story PUBLICLY. Use the "like" and the "share" features on websites that tell the truth about Pulte to spread the word. Post a comment on these PUBLIC stories that tell the truth about Pulte Homes. Start your own blog. Tell the truth.

One person can't 'connect the dots' for 'the masses'--neither can a few. It takes LOTS of people spreading the word PUBLICLY to 'connect the dots'. Unless more people speak up PUBLICLY, taking advantage of the internet (the way that Pulte does), then Pulte will continue to overpower the few with their advertising (lies).

If more people were out there 'spreading the word' PUBLICLY--taking advantage of 'sharing' (on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, youtube, etc.--'sharing' OFTEN--it only takes a minute) newspaper and TV stories on the internet about Pulte's shoddy construction and poor customer treatment--calling out do-nothing government officials as well as Pulte, then maybe we'd have a fightin' chance of getting rid of shoddy residential construction."

Will it EVER change? Will builders continue to build shoddy houses, and fleece the public? Will government continue to "turn the other way"?

Unfortunately, shoddy builders will NEVER change as long as those who are fleeced by shoddy builders don't speak up and speak out PUBLICLY.

Communications today are more advanced than they've ever been. Builders advertise continuously on the internet and with other media. There's Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Youtube, etc. There are websites for newspapers, TV and radio stations, and other major media who post articles and videos about shoddy construction. Readers can comment on the articles, and they can use the websites' "share" buttons to "share" these articles on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Youtube, etc.

But, what do most of those who have been fleeced by shoddy builders do? They sit back silently while the shoddy builders control the airwaves with lies about their shoddy products, and continue to fleece the public.

It seems hopeless.

Construction 101 for Pulte Homes

1. Soils that support foundations must be capable of supporting said foundations, including compacting said soils.

2. When soils under foundations settle differentially, concrete foundations crack.

3. When concrete foundations crack, ceramic floor tiles crack. (DUH!)

4. When concrete foundations settle differentially, walls and ceilings crack. (DOUBLE DUH!)

5. In addition to using suitable and properly compacted foundation soils, to prevent concrete foundations from cracking, reinforce the concrete with steel reinforcement. (TRIPLE DUH!)
